Braidwood Nuclear Security Officers Ratify Its First Contract with NUNSO


Braidwood Illinois 8/12/21 - The Braidwood Nuclear Security Officers working for Exelon Nuclear in Braidwood Illinois have voted 54 to 8 in favor of ratifying its first nuclear contract with the National Union of Nuclear Security Officers NUNSO, a division of LEOSU affiliated with United Federation LEOS-PBA.


Some of the highlighted benefits these Braidwood Nuclear security officers will now receive based on the National Union of Nuclear Security Officers NUNSO negotiations include:



* 2.5 % Across the Board Wage increase in years 1, 2 & 3 of their new NUNSO CBA


* A $500 dollar ratification Bonus


*Retroactive pay going back to April 2, 2021


* A yearly Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus of up to 8% yearly in addition to their 2.5% yearly wage increase & $500 Ratification Bonus and retroactive pay


* Yearly Uniform Allowance of $225 per year


*Attendance Recognition Bonus per year


* Improvements to their Insurance Benefits which include


a) Medical (including hearing, prescription drug and wellness program)


b) Dental


c) Vision


d) Life Insurance


e) AD & D


f) Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts


g) Group Legal Plan


h) Employee Assistance Program’


i) Employee Stock Program


j) Long Term Disability Insurance


k) Short-Term Disability Insurance


l) Exelon Corporation Employee Savings Plan - matching contributions will be 100%


m) Adoption Assistance


n) Tuition Reimbursement


o) Bonding and Primary Caregiver Leave


p) Backup Child and Elder Care Services


q) Bargaining unit employees will be eligible for Backup Child and Elder Care Services as of January 1, 2022.
